O'DONNELL, Wilfred Raymond "Ray"— 73, of New Minas, formerly of New Bnmswick, passed away Sunday September 16,2012. Ray was born on September 14,1939, in New Bandon, N.B. He is survived by friend, Nellie Arnburg; sons, Steven, Grande Prairie, Alta.; David, Waubaushene, Ont, and Mark, Calgary, Alta.; grandchildren, Sara and Kyle, Tyler and Ryley. Ray served with the 1st Battalion Black Watch at Camp Aldershot. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by family request. A Royal Canadian Legion and memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 20, in White Family Fuineral Home, Kentville. Burial will take place in New Brunswick. One of the nicest fellows I ever met or served with. I can remember him taking a new Lt. under his wing for a month and taught him the ropes, the way are really done in the Regiment. This officer turned out to be just great, thanks to Ray. Will miss you Ray, God Bless and rest in peace.
