Stanley Matulis 1926-2013 At St. Mary's Hospital, in Montreal, on June 28, 2013 with his family by his side. Husband of 50 yrs to Louise (McHugh), he was the son of the late Antanas Matulis and Ona (Azuolas). Father of Mark (Lisa Bowes) of Calgary, Michael (Roma Danius), Peter (Hélène Provost), Theresa (Doug Collins), Linda (Pierre Laliberte), and Lorraine (Steven Freytag). Grandfather/Senalis of Rachel, Gabriel, Benjamin, Olivia, Juliet, Sean, Griffin, and Edward. Brother of Jean Fitzgerald-Collins. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Born in Lithuania, immigrated to Canada in 1928, settling in Goose village. He served with the Black Watch (RHR) of Canada and wounded in Normandy, France in 1944. With a degree in engineering from University of McGill, he worked for Pratt & Wittney for 22yrs. He was an active life member of the Black Watch Association, the Canadian Legion Branch 57, and treasurer of the Ste. Annes Veterans Association.
