Regret to announce the passing of Jude Timmons last week in Kentville.
Jude graduated from the Regimental Depot with 143 Squad in 1964 and subsequently served with First Battalion in Gagetown and Cyprus.
Please note: Jude requested a private service however the Kingston (NS) Branch RCL have scheduled a memorial service for Wednesday (26 August) at 1400 hrs. Former members of The Black Watch are encouraged to attend.

TIMMONS, Ignatius “Jude” – age 69, Wilmot, Annapolis Co. It is with broken hearts and great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Jude on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Born on January 12, 1946, in Dominion, Cape Breton, he was a son of the late Joseph S. and Flora A. (McMullen) Timmons. Jude was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces serving his country from 1963-1993 with Special Duties in Cyprus from 1966-1970. He was a member of the Black Watch Regiment, 34th Brigade Group 2nd Canadian Division of the Canadian Army. Jude will be dearly missed by his four children, Duane (Tracy) Timmons and Shawn (Sue) Timmons, both of Ottawa, Ont.; Tammy (Scott) Ramsey, Aylesford; Kim Timmons, Greenwood; grandchildren, Kyle and Kayla Timmons, Daniel Keddy, Jenna, Colby and Jessica Ramsey, Tyler and Tyanna Brothers; great-grandchildren, Ayden McCue, Rowan Gordon, Rini Trottier; sisters, Theresa McNeil, Glace Bay; Ethel MacMillan, Margaret McNeil, Frances (John) Melanson, all of Ontario; Rosalie (Joseph “Bobbie”) MacDonald, Glace Bay; Mary Hannah, Audrey Underhill, both of Ontario; brothers, John Lawrence “Jackie” (Charlotte) Timmons, Glace Bay; Harvey (Donna) Timmons, Cornwallis; Charles “Timmy” (Patricia) Timmons, James Bernard “J.B.”, both of Ontario. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Betty Brewer; brothers, Reggie, Malcolm, Myles and Gregory Timmons; his children’s mother, Adena (Flynn) Timmons. In keeping with Jude’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private family Celebration of Life will be held.
