Black Watch Friends:

Regret to report the recent passing of Beekie Marshall in Fredericton.
‘Beekie’ was one of the icons of our Regular Force Black Watch. Born and raised in Montreal, he joined the Army early in 1952 and was sent as a reinforcement to 1st Canadian Highland Battalion in Hannover after he completed his basic training in Valcartier. In subsequent years he remained with 1st Battalion RHC wherever it went – including Aldershot, Germany again, Gagetown and Cyprus. (See Craig Cameron’s article in Canada’s Red Hackle magazine #18 Winter 2012, page 15.)
Beekie will be missed by his Black Watch brothers in arms.
