Regret to report that Second World War veteran Joe Coughlin has passed away here in Ottawa.
Note that funeral will be on Thursday morning.

Peacefully, but suddenly, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, June 17, 2016 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Beatrice (née Johnson) for over 67 years. Cherished father of Mary (Peter) Taylor and Darlene (late Derek Barr). Loving Papa of Corissa (Tyson) Chadwick, Jason (Virginia) Taylor, Kelly (Steve) Cockwell, Erin (Guy) Gravelle, Steven O'Rourke and Shawn (Samantha) O'Rourke. So proud to be a great-grandfather of Abigail Chadwick, Charlotte and Noah Taylor, Ryan and Brendan Cockwell, Joseph and Emily O'Rourke and Jack Gravelle. Dear brother of Louise (late Leonard) Contant, Phyllis (Dave) Hamilton and Shirley (late Dave) Crawford. Predeceased by his parents Denis and Isabelle (Coulas), his brothers Paul (late Marion) and Michael (Linda), his sisters Mary (late Harry) Lett, Theresa (late Eugene) Godin, Isabell (Art) Waldron, Bernadette (Bob) Johnson, Margaret (late Art) Godin. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Honoured member of the Royal Canadian Legion Montgomery Branch Ottawa, long- time member of the Eganville Branch and lifetime member of Royal Canadian Legion Vancouver TVS-Branch 44. He was very much loved and will be so sadly missed. Resting and visitation at
