Regret to report that Ralph Beek passed away on Wednesday in Fredericton.
Ralph served in 1st Battalion RHC in Gagetown and Cyprus. In 1970 he re-badged to The RCR and served with 2nd Battalion in Gagetown and Cyprus.

The passing of Edward "Ralph" Beek of Ripples, NB, husband of Jeneeve (Arbeau) Beek, occurred on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 1, 1943 in Big Hole Brook, NB he was the son of the late Turney and Rita (Brideau) Beek. Ralph was a retired infantryman in the Canadian Army, he served his country for 42 years including two tours in Cyprus and one tour in Alert. He was a member of the Ripples United Pentecostal Church. Ralph was also a member of the Black Watch Association, the RCR Association, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 93, and the NBSFA.
In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by his daughters, Demerice Vale (Louis Boulard) and Selena Harris (Ken) both of New Maryland, NB; sons, Bert Beek (Rosaline Cormier) of Ripples, NB and Scott Beek (Cathy) of Calgary, AB; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; five sisters; eight brothers; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ralph was predeceased a grandson, Corey Hayes; and two sisters.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Ripples United Pentecostal Church, 548 Route 670, Ripples, NB from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Ripples United Pentecostal Church on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 2 pm with Pastor Donald McCarty officiating. Interment will take place at Ripples Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or to a charity of the donor's choice.
