Regret to report that Ernie Campbell passed away yesterday in Gagetown, NB.
Ernie served with 2nd Bn The Black Watch RHC throughout the 1960s in Gagetown, Germany and Cyprus. He re-badged to The RCR in 1970.

It is with sadness that the family of Ernest John Campbell announces his passing on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Orchard View Nursing Home in Gagetown, NB.Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, NS, he was the son of the late John and Annie (MacNeil) Campbell.
Ernie served in the military in both the Black Watch and the Royal Canadian Regiment. He was best described as a family man, loving to spend his time with family and friends.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife Velzora “Tiny”; sons John Campbell (Janice) of Blind River, ON, Gordon Campbell (Carol) of New Glasgow, NS and Stanley Campbell (Laurie) of Nasonworth, NB; daughters Tamara Parks (Bruce) of Gagetown, NB and Bonnie Potter (John) of Bedford, NS; grandchildren Michael, Shawna, Kelly, Jennifer, Jarrett, Thomas, Kristen, Adam, Malinda, Bryan, Robyn and Ryan; 12 great–grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ernie was predeceased by a daughter Linda Campbell; eight sisters and four brothers.
There will be a visitation on Friday, April 28, 2017, from 7 to 9 pm at the Oromocto Funeral Home. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 will hold a tribute service beginning at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Reyes officiating. Interment will take place in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery at a later date.
