Regret to report the passing of Arthur Jones recently in Glace Bay.
He served in our Second Battalion from about 1956 in Aldershot, Gagetown, Germany and Cyprus (1966 and 1969/70) with ‘B’ Company in his early years.

Jones, Arthur Roy
It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of a dear husband and father Arthur Roy Jones at the age of 80, on Saturday July 1, 2017 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay on April 11, 1937. He served 23 years in the military as a Master Corporal, he was a member of the Black Watch now known as RCR. He then worked as a Federal Fishery and Oceans officer for 20 years. He was a former member of the Barkers Point Lions Club.
Dad loved to hunt, fish, go camping and play bingo, these were just a few of his passions.
He is survived by his loving wife Yvonne of 58 years, daughter Debbie (Pat), son Joseph and daughter Alice (Jimmy); several grandchildren and great grandchildren and also special friends Olga, Sandra, Donnie, Will, Andy, Rose, Dianne, Dorothy, Eddie and several others.
He was predeceased by his mother Alice Roberts, siblings Lil, Ann, Teen, Harriette, Charles and Alf.
There will be no funeral or wake, at the request of the family. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home Glace Bay. However a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday July 8,2017 at the family home starting at noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital foundation.
