Regret to report the passing of Gerry Coward in early June of this year in Moncton, NB.
Gerry served with our Second Battalion in Gagetown, Germany (A Coy) and Cyprus (1966 and 1969/70 (Recce Pl). He joined 2RCR in 1970.

GERALD E. COWARD
Gerald Coward, passed away peacefully at the George L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on, June 7, 2018, at the age of 79. Born in St. John’s, NL on March 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Fred and Helen (Sullivan) Coward.
In 1956 he signed up to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces and worked his way through the ranks to later join the Black Watch – one of Canada’s oldest Royal Highland Regiments. He performed peace keeping in Germany from 1961 to 1965 and in Cyprus April to October 1966.
Gerald is survived by his children; Bradley (Krystle MacDonald) Coward, Brenda Maillet, sister, Toni Mitchum, grandchildren; Ashley Leger, Tabatha Boutilier and his four great–grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Gerald was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Gaynes) Coward.
