Black Watch and RCR friends:
Regret to report the passing of John Fuller last week in Strathroy, Ontario.
John Fuller came to Canada as a youngster from England. When he came of age, he enrolled in the Royal Canadian Army Pay Corps but quickly realized the error in his ways and was posted to First Battalion, The Black Watch RHC as an Infantry officer circa 1963. He went to Norway with 1RHC as part of ACE Mobile Force in 1966, and the following year to the Eastern Mediterranean where the unit was assigned to the United Nations Force in Cyprus. Back in Gagetown, he remained with 1RHC until 1969 when he was posted to the Canadian Airborne Regiment’s 1st Commando in Edmonton until 1974 when he was posted to the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan. On completion of that UN tour he was posted to 1RCR in CFB London where he was Mortar Platoon commander in 1977.
