Regret to report the passing of Stan Lowther last week in Halifax, NS.
Stan completed his Depot training with 146 Squad in the spring of 1964. I assume that he then was posted to our First Battalion however I can find no evidence of that nor when he was released.

I’m outta here!
They tell me I was naked and screaming when I fought my way into this world. I hope I went out the same way. Well, maybe not naked. If you are reading this you know I lost my fight to stay.
Like most I have had some ups and downs, but over all a pretty good life.
I served in the Canadian Army (Black Watch). Worked as a mechanic after my release, before joining the NS Provincial Government, first with Motor Vehicle Inspection, ending as supervisor before joining the staff at Service NS, working as a Driver Enhancement Officer.
My parents George and Mary Ellen Caldwell both pre-deceased me as did my first wife Deborah Power, my sister Evelyn Andrews and brother Charlie. Also, my favorite niece, Nicole Cotie, who left this world too early, and my buddy Tugger.
I am survived by my wife and best friend Donna Johnson, favorite sibling Mary Ellen Rutledge-Foster and brother Donald. My children, daughters Melissa Bennett, Sandy Stevens, Michelle Skinner and son Stan have survived me as well. I am leaving behind 10 grandchildren.
Looking back over my life, there were no better morons and nuts than my family and friends. You all made my life interesting, funny and brought me a lot of pleasure. If I had a chance to do this all over again, I would choose all of you to do it with.
Now none of you were there for my sensational entrance into this old world, so there is no need to be there for my exit. At my request there will be no wake or funeral service.
Now for those of you, who feel a need to do something, go to a minor sports game and maybe contribute to your local minor sports program.
