The passing of John Edward McNaughton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on August 14, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with COPD. John was born in Peterborough, Ontario on October 13, 1944. He joined the Black Watch of Canada in 1967 and served with various units after 1970 and retired in 1996 after serving 29 years.

John is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of forty years; his daughter, Eleanor Bishop (Randy), son, John; his three grandchildren, Ashley, Allya and Hayden; two sisters, Sharon (Don) and Patricia (Syd), of Ontario and also by many nieces, nephews and cousins. John was pre-deceased by his Father, Mother and Stepmother.

A memorial service will be held but arrangements are incomplete at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
