Chesley served with 1st Black Watch in Germany and Gagetown and with 2nd RCR.

HARDING, CHESLEY of Hoyt, NB passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on April 5,2009 at the age of 77. Chesley is survived by one daughter Debbie Gillett (Dean), one son Steven Harding, four brothers, Roy of Hoyt, Wilmot (Evelyn)of Tabusintac, Lorne (Calma) of Tabusintac, John of Thunder Bay, Ont. three grandchildren Joe, Dustin and Jessica, several nieces and nephews. Chesley was employed at CFB Gagetown in Infantry and later as an Instructor. He was a member of the Black Watch and the 2RCR he was also a Woodsman and was an avid Horseman. He is predeceased by his wife Lucy, parents Lydia Harding and Robert Harding, two sisters Edna Harding and Hamlyn Kelly, three brothers Earl Harding , Gerald Harding and Reginald Harding. Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for visitations on Wednesday, April 8 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be from Sunbury Funeral Home on Thursday April 9 at 2pm with the Rev. Eugene Fisher officiating. interment to follow in the Patterson United Church Cemetery at a later date.
