This is a photo A Company taken in Gagetown the Fall of 61 or approx 6 months prior to Germany .....the main change in personnel is the Company Commander ....in this picture Maj Peter Hall-Humpherson was OC, while the enquiry from Win49 asks of Werl Germany, Maj George McQueen was by then OC A Coy......Hopfully this picture can be displayed in such a way that others can save and enlarge (if necessary) to identify Coy personnel....have a few names of those in the Company at that time. A dozen others cannot put a name to.

Webmaster's note: For a full size image, please contact us and we will put you in touch with Mr. Hamilton.

Hi there Dieter ......I was with A Coy from arrival to about September 62 ... I had the Webmaster (Andy) post a photo taken of A Company the previous 6 months in Gagetown .... most of the Company remained the same during the Germany tour ..... you will find the photo just above here ....

See you are in Georgian Bluffs .... not sure where that is, but for sure is not far from where I live in ANGUS, (Borden) ...... I do however prefer the Sun of Florida where I spend the winters .... can be reached at .............. <jetech@sympatico.ca>

Wes Hamilton.

Hi Wes
Thanks for the note. I am just west of Angus near Wiarton. I know Joe Moreau who lives in Angus perhaps you know him. He was also in A Coy support weapons platoon anti-tank, I was with the mortars section. I was there in Werl from Mar. 62 to Dec. 63.
I am also in touch with Richard Dwyer and George Ledwon from A Coy. Also Larry Moyer but he passed away last year in B.C.
Couldn't find anyone else.

Hello, I happened to stumble onto this site and would like very much to be part of finding long lost friends. My name is Theo Van Vlymen SA128441, you posted a picture that certainly reminded me of some friends,it was not too clear so hard to tell. I was stationed in Werl Germany 1961-1964, worked in the officers mess for a while, were you familiar with father Boullard? I would be very interested to converse with you further I do hope you receive this message and please E-mail me. Until then best regards: Theo

Hello Theo, nice to hear the past, even though it is some 45-47 years. I knew Father Boullard quite well, was just looking at a photo of him taken in the Fort St Louis RC Chapel.

I work at NDHQ in Ottawa and my boss is John Kevin Lindsey. apparently his Dad served with Gen McAlpine at CFB Gagetown, in Germany and Cyprus. I haven't asked his Dad's first name yet but does anyone remember a Lindsey? They live in NS now....

Sorry I don't remember a Lindsey. I did serve under Col. McAlpine in Werl Germany in 1963. We had at least over 800 members in the battalion. Do you know his exact time when he was in Germany and what company, that would help quite a bit.
