1944-2010
Robert “Bob” W. Bryant passed away in the early hours of August 18, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 66. Born in Halifax, NS on January 19, 1944 to the late Margaret and Walter Bryant.
Bob joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 17, becoming a member of The Black Watch. He served his country for 14 ½ years. He then retired and lived in Oromocto until he moved to Fredericton, where he had lived for some 10 years. Bob worked as a bartender, worked for many retail businesses until he decided to start his own business, Oromocto Taxi. He retired some time later.
He is survived by his three children, daughter Rosselyne McCaffrey (Mike), sons Robert Bryant (Andrèe) and Matthew; grandchildren Allison and Benjamin McCaffrey; Carolyne Bryant and Krystal Rossignol all of Fredericton; his former wife Joan Mason; his sister Sharon Slaunwhite (Robert); brothers Darrell Day, Timothy Day, Donald Day; aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.
Bob is predeceased by his parents; his brother Dwight and his infant son Robert Larry Bryant and stepfather Ira Day.
Cremation will take place. A funeral service will be held in Halifax, NS. Arrangements entrusted to Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton, NB.
