Regret to announce the recent death of Dave Connolly in New Glasgow.
Dave served with 2nd Battalion in the early 60s.

TRENTON - David Elroy Connolly, 82, of Rose Avenue, Trenton, passed away August 29, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Truro, NS, he was a son of the late Lester and Sadie (MacCallum) Connolly.
David was a resident of Trenton since 1966. He served in the Canadian Army where he was a member of the 2nd Battalion Black Watch. He was a member of the former Calvary Temple now the Life Center in New Glasgow.
He is survived by a son, David (Rebecca), Indian Harbour Lake; a daughter, Deborah (Daniel) Watson, Stellarton; a foster son, Stephen Connolly, New Glasgow; a chosen daughter, Wendy Lee (Dave) MacIntosh, New Glasgow; grandchildren: Andrew Connolly, Ottawa; Peter (Margaret) Connolly, Cold Lake, Alberta; Scott (Tammy) Watson, Columbia, South Carolina; Ryan (Kim) Watson, New Glasgow; Teia MacIntosh and Sharon MacIntosh, both of New Glasgow; two great-granddaughters, Yohanna Watson and Ainsley Connolly; brothers, Lee (Gasha), Truro; George (Rebecca), Truro; a sister, Ruth Connolly, Truro; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Marie (Jeans); sisters, Doreen in infancy and Gladys; brothers: Adam, Richard and Lloyd.
His remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Keith Hazzard officiating. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Trenton. A reception will follow the burial in the Life Center, Marsh Street, New Glasgow.
Donations in memory of David may be made to the Life Center, the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society or to a charity of one's choice.
