Salaries in the reserves are pretty straightforward. You get paid for a half-day’s work if you work less than 6 hours, and for a full day’s work if you work for more than 6 hours. You also get paid extra if you have to leave home or go into the field for training. And you also get various benefits such as vacation pay, dental insurance and a bursary to help pay for university or other post-secondary education.
