Greetings Brothers

I hear all you guys talking about having lots of photos. I am constantly begging everyone to send me photos for use in the Red Hackle Magazine. We were determined from the beginning to have this publication well illustrated and so far I think we have held true to this. You don't turn many pages without seeing some sort of photo or illustration. You all have some great stories to tell as well. Our wider readership would just love to read about your adventures and antics. You may not think that your story is good enough but PLEASE, let us decide.

Its amazing where our magazine ends up after distribution. I live near Petawawa and I am hearing from younger regular force soldiers from all arms about things they have seen in Canada's Red Hackle. In many ways it gives these young bucks a window on the past and how we lived in our regimental highland culture. It also tells the world that Canada's Black Watch is alive and well and very relative to today's missions abroad. Our stories and photos from our Black Watch lads in Afghanistan have been particularly well read. More recently a very senior CF general stated, "The Regimental magazine of The Black Watch, Canada's Red Hackle, is probably the best written and most attractive looking publication of its kind I have ever seen". The reason we get comments like that is because of our widespread Regimental Family kicking and contributing to its success.

You can send you stories and photos directly to me electronically (email). I will forward them on to our editor. Please send text on Microsoft Word or PDF. Photos should be scanned at about 300DPI. Thanks in advance for your help.
