Regret to announce the recent passing of Duke Paisley.
Duke was the Intelligence Officer with 2nd Battalion in Korea and remained with the unit on its return to Aldershot. He left 2nd Battalion in 1957 and was subsequently posted to 1st Battalion in Gagetown where he was Operations Officer and ‘A’ Company Commander under Gord Sellar. Following Exercise WINTER EXPRESS in Norway in 1966 he was posted to NDHQ.

It is with great sadness that we announce his peaceful passing on January 12, 2012 in his 87th year. We wish to thank the staff of Kensington Gardens Residence for their tireless care and compassion for him during his stay. Donald is survived by his dear brother Ross. He will be deeply missed by his adored wife Alice, loving daughter Lisbeth and husband Thomas, son Christopher and daughter Linda. Treasured grandfather of Arielle and partner Keane, Elias and wife Jocelyn, and Dorian. Cherished great-grandfather of Olivia and Savannah and newly expected great-grandchild. Funeral service will be at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 227 Bloor St. East, Toronto on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Donations in memoriam to Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
