Gallant, Peter Vincent, 78 of Kingston, formerly of Granville Ferry. It is with great sorrow but with love we the family say good-bye to our beloved father. Born in Hunter River, P.E.I. on April 20, 1934, he was a son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Peineau) Gallant. In 1963 he moved his family to Granville Ferry. Peter served with the Black Watch and was a decorated Korean War Veteran. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a volunteer with the Annapolis Royal Fire Department for many years. Peter worked for the Annapolis County Public Works Department for 17 years from 1979-1996. Prior to this he worked for Britex in Bridgetown. He made many friends and was loved and regarded by all his peers and associates. He is survived by his children, Gail (Jean) Beaulieu, Alec (Lorrie) Penny, George Penny, Michael (Sandra) Gallant, Dawn (Bob) Taplin, Pam Gallant; 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brothers, James, Vernon , Clarence and Edward; sister, Sister Reta Gallant. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Jean; brothers, Artie, Leo, Bennie, Clarence; sisters, Theresa, Bernadette and Reta. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held Tuesday July 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Louis Catholic Church, Annapolis Royal with Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment will be in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the I.W.K. or to the QEII Health Sciences Foundation On line condolences may be made at
