Morris passed away on Monday in Fredericton.
He began his military career with 2nd Battalion The Black Watch and transferred to 2nd Battalion The RCR in 1970.

McGarrigle, Morris Henry of Fredericton Junction passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on September 10, 2012. Henry was born on May 23, 1942 to the late Harry and Louise (McAleenan) McGarrigle. Henry is survived by his wife Joyce (Leslie) McGarrigle. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Brenda McGarrigle (Terry Biggar) of Hoyt, his son Morris Jr. (Shilo Myers) of Geary, two sisters Alice Simpson and Mary Wilcox. His passing has left a void in the lives of his five grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Frances Laforge and brother Kris McGarrigle.
Henry started his Military career in Black Watch then transferred to the RCR where he spent the rest of his military career. He was member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 55. He kept busy as a caretaker at Gladstone Cemetery for several years. When Henry had some time he enjoyed going to the woods to hunt.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home to pay respects to family on Thursday September 13 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Legion tribute will be 7 pm, Sept 13. Funeral service will be from Sunbury Funeral Home on Friday September 14 at 11am with Father Mark Trzop officiating. Interment will be in the Gladstone Cemetery. You may express your sympathy by making a donation to the NB Lung Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or a charity of your choice.
