I have no information about his military career beyond what appears in his obituary – perhaps you can provide more (Which battalion? Did he re-badge in 1970?, etc.).

Life Legacy
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Brent Humphrey on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB, at the age of 67. Born on March 23, 1945 in Sydney, NS, he was the son of Eileen and the late Robert Humphrey. Brent left Cape Breton in his youth and lived most of his life in Fredericton with his late wife Rae and her children. He was a veteran of the army serving two tours overseas in the Middle East and Cyprus with the Black Watch. He was a member of First United Church in Sydney, NS, the Fredericton Legion Branch #4 and the Singles Club. Brent loved to dance, be with friends and family and was an avid outdoorsman.
In addition to his mother, Eileen, Brent is survived by two stepsons, Tommy Ballard of Fredericton, NB and Glenwood Ballard (Brenda) of Slave Lake, AB; five sisters, Robina (Robert) Bagnell of Sydney, NS, Sheila (Larry) Bonnell of Oshawa, ON, Brenda (Lloyd) Henderson of Dartmouth, NS, Debbie (Mike) Hanrahan of Sydney, NS and Deanna (Bill Parker) Humphrey of Dartmouth, NS; two brothers, David (Marion) Humphrey of Sydney, NS and Glenn (Liz) Humphrey of Halifax, NS; a very special friend, Shirley Sweeney of Fredericton, NB; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his father and wife, Rae (Beek) Humphrey, he was predeceased by a brother, Kevin.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9. A Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 2 pm with Pastor Darren Munn officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Personal condolences may be offered through
