It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Miles E. Wilneff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Dec. 31, 2012, with his family by his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
A resident of Birch Grove, Miles was born on Tancook Island, son of Gene (Levy) and the late Joseph Wilneff.

He was a member of Army Navy Air Force Unit 246 of Glace Bay. He was an avid boater, spending many hours cruising Cape Breton waters and doing some recreational fishing along the way. Another passion was shining up his ‘64 Ford Fairlaine coupe and taking it for a run.

He is also survived by his mother, Gene, Glace Bay; brothers, Gary (Pauline), Sydney, Greg (Marilyn), Kentucky, Jim (Charlene), Regina; sisters, Sandra (Willie) Koza, Ontario, Carol (Grant) MacLean, Glace Bay, Margo, Wendy (Gary) Gardiner, Tanya (Stuart Cathcart), all of Glace Bay.
