The passing of Henry Edward Odo of Fredericton, NB, husband of Jeannine (Meunier) Odo occurred on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 25, 1940 in Cheticamp, Cape Breton, NS, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Louise (Harris) Odo. He was a pipe fitter at L A Machine Works, retiring in 2008. Henry was a member of the Black Watch for 12 years and also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15 for 48 years. He had a passion for woodworking.
In addition to his wife, Henry is survived by his daughter, Trudy Hetherington (Tony); son, Joseph Odo (Vicki); step granddaughter, Amanda; grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan and Katie; siblings, Marie, Mary Agnus, Mary Claire, Theresa, Irene and Bernice; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Marie; sister, Louise and brother, Jimmy.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15 are asked to assemble at the funeral home for a Legion Tribute Service on Thursday at 7 pm.
