Regret to announce the recent passing of Lew Tucker in Newfoundland.
Lew served with 2nd Battalion (D Company) in Germany 1962 – 1965 and Cyprus 1966.

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Health Science Centre on August 3, 2013. Lewis Tucker CD (Lew, the accordion man, retired Black Watch) aged 70 years of St. Philip’s. Predeceased by Mother, Mary; Father, Alfred and brother, Leonard. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 46 years Louise; daughter, Bonnie (special friend Gordie Kennedy); son, Leonard; beloved grandson and buddy Blake; also leaving brother, Leroy; loving mother in law Eliza; brothers in law: Walter (Gert), Nath (Verniece),Bill (Rhonda); sisters in law: Mary (whom he adored)(Milt), Elsie (Hayward), Catherine (Baxter), Carol Ann (Terry), his furry friends Reece and Taffy (who he loved dearly), many more relatives and army buddies especially Jim King (Marg) and Rick Smith (Donna) of Nova Scotia, cousin and close friend Ada and Clarence Connolly, as well as other friends too numerous to mention all across Canada. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 7-9 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 10-12 noon. Funeral service will take place at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, St.Philip’s. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Lew’s memory may be made to the S.P.C.A or to St. Philip’s Anglican Church. “An old soldier never dies he only fades away”
