Black Watch & RCR friends:
Regret to report the passing last month of Red Huse in Oshawa.
Red served with The RCR in Korea and afterwards returned briefly to civilian life before reenlisting in the Army to become a cook with the RCASC. Although he never wore the Government Tartan, Red was posted as a cook to 2nd Battalion RHC in Camp Aldershot circa 1957 and remained with the battalion for the next 12 years including its deployments to Gagetown in 1958, Germany in 1962 and Cyprus in 1966. In addition to his culinary skills, Red was a talented hockey goalie for 2nd Black Watch.
