Regret to report the recent passing of Link/Bubby McCully at his home in Nova Scotia.
It is believed that he served with our First Battalion but details unavailable at this time.

1943 - 2016

McCully, Lindsay H.C. “Bubby” – Age 72, of Ward’s Brook passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Advocate Harbour, he was a son of the late Hector and Isabel (Morris) McCully. Lindsay was a member of The Black Watch Royal Highland Regiment of Canada. He was employed with the Nova Scotia Department of Highways for 17 years. He touched everyone in his life and will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially those who knew him as “Bubby”. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Paulette Crossman; daughters, Stephanie Duguay (Dwayne), Acton, Ont., and their children, Erika and Ryan; Veronica Warren (Byron), Port Greville, and their children, B.J. and Nic; Samantha McCrindle (Kevin), Parrsboro, and their children, Tori and Grayson (aka Jason); a son, Lindsay, Jr. (Karen), Advocate Harbour, and their daughter, Chloe; great-grandsons, Carter and Colton, both of Acton, Ont.; sisters, Kathy Bowden (Maurice), Diligent River; Beverly Taylor, Truro; a brother (and best friend), Floyd McCully, Diligent River; sister-in-law, Jeannette McCulley, Diligent River; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Allison; sister-in-law, Ada McCully, brother-in-law, Gerald “Trick” Taylor; nephew, Danny McCully. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Port Greville Baptist Church, Pastor Douglas Lake officiating. Burial in the River Bank Cemetery. Reception to follow in the F.P.W Community Fire Hall, Port Greville. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Program of South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro or to the Black Watch of Canada Foundation.
