Regret to report the passing last month of Donald Gallant in Halifax.
Donald was a soldier in ‘D’ Company, Second Battalion RHC in Korea. I suspect that he left the Army at the end of his engagement in 1956.

Donald “Donnie Lou” Joseph Gallant
The death occurred at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, NS on Friday, February 2, 2018, of Donald “Donnie Lou” Gallant, of Summerside, aged 80 yrs. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Aubin and Margaret “Lou” (Gallant) Gallant. Survived by his brothers Lloyd “Toy Toy” (Sandra) and Arnold (Darlene); sisters-in-law June (Garth) Caseley and Ester Walsh; and by a brother-in-law Eldon Campbell. Predeceased by his wife Janie (Walsh) Gallant; sons John “Bubba” Gallant and James, in infancy; brothers Everett and Ralph Gallant; brother-in-law Jack Walsh; and by a sister-in-law Sandra Campbell. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, for visiting hours Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. There will be no funeral service by personal request.
