Black Watch friends:
Have just received the e-mail below from Grant Guillet in Victoria, BC reporting the passing of Sid Joss.
Most of you will recall that Sid was 2RHC Unit Medical Officer during our tour in West Germany 1962 – 1965.
Sid took exceptionally good care of 2RHC members and their dependents during those years for which we are most grateful.
Regret unable to find obit at this time.
Black Watch Friends
Regret to inform you that I received a message
From Angeline Joss this morning, informing me
That Sid Joss passed away last Tuesday, June 26th,
At the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
I was able to visit Sid in the Hospital last Friday,
Prior to our Black Watch Luncheon. While He seemed in
Good spirits, He was very feeble, suffering with
Pneumonia on top of his cancer. He had been admitted
With a broken shoulder from a fall while getting into bed
At home. He held on as long as He could !!
Sid was always a great supporter of our Association and
Will be missed by all !!
Dave Leslie will fill in more details in due course and I'll
Be speaking with Angeline sometime In the next day or two
And will keep you updated.
She did mention that Funeral Services would be held at
The Holy Cross Church in Victoria, at 2:00pm on
Saturday, July 28th, 2018.
MAY HE REST IN PEACE !!
Grant
