Mike left 2nd Battalion in Camp Aldershot in 1957.

Regret to inform you The Reverend Michael C. Jackson passed away on November 28th in Des Moines, WA. He enrolled in the PPCLI in January 1951, and was commissioned in 2 CHB in 1952, serving in C Coy with David Dodge, Gordon Berry and Gerry Ratchford in Camp Aldershot and Korea. He was later appointed LO to 25 Bde. He left regimental duty in 1956, serving in recruiting duties in Vancouver and Public Relations officer in Army HQ. After a one year tour as a military observer in the UN Operation in the Congo (ONUC), he served as a press liaison officer in EXPO 62 in Seattle. Mike took his release in the rank of Captain in 1962. Members serving in 1 RHC during the presentation of colours in McGill stadium in 1962 will remember him as the official press officer for that ceremony. Following studies at Bishop's and McGill, he entered the Anglican ministry, serving in parishes in AB CA and WA before retiring in the Seattle region.Michael and June attended a number of Pacific Coast Branch dinners in Victoria during the 1990s and early 2000s.
