Regret to report that Stephen Savoie passed away on 13 December 2019 in Saint John , NB.
Stephen joined our 1st Battalion after completing his Basic Training in the RHC Depot in 1963 and he accompanied the unit to Cyprus in 1967 as a member of Headquarters Company. He later served in 3 Mech Cdo and rebadged to PPCLI .

Obituary of Stephen Savoie
Surrounded by his family, the passing of “Stephen” Joseph Etienne Wilfrid Savoie, of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Sharon (Furr) Savoie, occurred on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Petite Aldouane, NB, on September 2, 1946, son of Stella (Blanchard) Savoie. Stephen enlisted with the Black Watch in 1963 and retired as a Warrant Officer in The PPCLI after 26 years in the Army.
Besides his wife and mother, Stephen is survived by his son Mark (Cassie) of Vancouver, BC, his siblings; Lee Davis of Truro, NS, Ginette Cormier (Gilles) of Otterburn Park, QC, Ellis Savoie (Ruby) of South Branch, NB, and Giselle Lacasse (Robert) of Saint Marie Madelaine, QC, sister-in-law Nancy Hutchison, nieces and nephews; Shawn, Bobbi Jo, Jody, Stephane, Melissa, Christian, Guillaume, Annie, Callan, and Janel.
Stephen was predeceased by his sister Evelyne Touchette, and brother in law Leland Davis.
In keeping with Stephen’s wishes, there will be no visitation nor funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 58.
