Have recently learned of the passing of Robert Balsom in Clarenville, NL, last December.
Robert Glynn Balsom was born April 24th 1937 in Clarenville Newfoundland and passed away December 20th 2021 at the age of 84.
He Served in First Battalion, The Black Watch of Canada from 1954 to 1957 in Camp Aldershot, Nova Scotia, and was a long-time member of Atlantic Branch, The Black Watch of Canada Association.

Anyone to ever meet Bob Balsom you could not help but love him. We are sad to announce the passing of a dear son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, and dear friend to many. Robert Glynn Balsom suddenly passed away December 20, 2021 at the age of 84 years old.
Predeceased by his mother Effie (Baggs) and father William Balsom, loving wife Hilda Blanche Balsom (nee king) , brother to baby Murray, Darcy ( Bob) , Billie (Don) and Velmore (Marguerite) Balsom. Left with his admired strength, our fond, loving memories will be lived through all of his brothers and sisters, Yvonne (d: Harry), Dawn (Spencer), Ivar (Rowena), Deena (Frank), Patrick (Lori), Joseph and the youngest Rock. Loving brother in law Cater and wife Ida King. His loving children Glynn (Christina), Vaughn, Rosanne (Shelley), Bettylou (John), Bobbie (Marvin) , and his dear grandchildren, Larissa, Shauna, Krista, Joshua, Adam, Abagail, Aaron, and his great grandchildren, Alixandra, Caleb, Avery and Laura. All nieces and nephews of the entire Balsom and extended family..
We all know he has touched many lives and it is hard to mention everyone but the love that surrounded him and circles of friendships, including his healing place of Terra Nova is what kept him alive for many years. He will live on in our memories for many years to come. You are all in his heart for Love is what life is…..Love, the Balsom Family.
