Rest in Peace Ron MacDonald...served in the Black Watch, Combat Arms School and RCR ,later joining the
Correctional Service of Canada ,after retirement from the military..
Always an immaculately turned out soldier,his nickname was Pretty Boots...


March 14, 1937 – December 12, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce that Ron passed away in Chilliwack BC. He was surrounded by family and friends in his last days. Ron is predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Sheila, his son Jerry, and his son in law Art. He is survived by his remaining children, Carol, Christine (Murray), Ian and grandchildren Gordon, Megan, Alexis, Kayla, Carson, and Shayla, and step grandchildren Claire and Sam.
Ron was born in Antigonish Nova Scotia. He spent 25 years in the Armed forces, retiring in 1976 at the rank of Warrant Officer. Ron then spent another 20 years working for the Correction Services of Canada, retiring in 1996. Ron enjoyed his retirement years between his two homes in Chilliwack BC and Yuma Arizona where he enjoyed Golf, gardening, long walks in the community around his homes and time spent sharing stories with good friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date.
