Black Watch Friends:

Regret to announce recent death of John MacDougall in Oromocto.
Believe John served in both 1st and 2nd Battalion, The Black Watch as well as 2nd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment.

MacDougall, John Bernard
The death of John MacDougall occurred on December 31st, 2009 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. He was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on December 29th, 1925 and was the husband to the late Rita (O'Reilley) MacDougall. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces, Black Watch Regiment and 2 RCR. He was a former Town Councillor in the town of Oromocto and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93.

He is survived by his son, Ian (Tina) and grandson, Phillippe of Moncton, NB.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 from 2-4 pm. A funeral service will follow the visitation in the chapel at 4 pm with Rev. Ken Weir officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 will hold a tribute at the beginning of the service. Interment will take place in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the donor's choice. (357-5100)
