It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jack Gemmill, on Thursday January 07, 2010 in his 90th year. He will be dearly missed and forever loved by his beloved wife Joan Gemmill (nee Stone) of 66 years. Loving father to Sandra (Doug Shaw); Gloria (David McLaughlin); Shelly (Weldon Gutz); and Debbie (Steven Findlay). Proud grandpa to Allison (Mike); Kerri (Trevor); Joanna Greg (Leitha), Adam and Andrea. Great grandpa to Hayden and Colton. Dear brother of Pat (Doris), Isabelle (late Hartwill Dunlop); Wally (Muriel) and Ray (late Phyllis Croft). he will be fondly remembered by his extended family in England and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fraser Morris and Heubner Funeral Home in Cobden, Ontario on Sunday from 2 -4 and 7-9 pm. Service in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Cobden on Monday, January 11th at 11:00am. Spring interment Cobden Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to Renfrew Hospice woud be appreciated. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to staff of Hospice Renfrew for their personal care and compassion.
