JOHN MELVIN KELLY 1935 - 2011 R.I.P.

Black Watch Friends:

Regret to announce another death in the family.

We have no information about this former soldier’s service with The Black Watch thus would appreciate any additional detail that you can provide.

Passed Away On: 31/03/2011

John passed away suddenly in Lancaster, N.H. on March 31, 2011 in his 76th year.

Best friend and loving husband of 49 years to Mary (Pynn).

Loving father of Cheryl Ross (John) and Robert (Julie).

He will be sadly missed by his most precious granddaughters Amanda and Jennifer Kelly; sisters Harriet, Carol and brother Rick; special nephew John Marsh Jr. (Cherie); niece Charlotte Boudreau (Fred); brother-in-law John Marsh (Doreen); sister-in-law Betty Bennett and Ruth Madden (Bren) and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his father William; mother Hilda; stepfather Fred Stewart; brother Charlie, brother Cyril; sister Dolena, sister-in-law Madeleine Marsh, and in laws Archie Pynn and Jane Pynn.

He will be especially missed by best friend Eddy Phillipo (Helena).

Mel was employed for many years in the heating business (owner of Mel Kelly Heating).

He was in the Black Watch and a member of BR: 163 Legion, and an avid Leafs fan.

At Mel’s request, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the M.A. Clark & Sons Funeral Home (567 Upper Wellington St., Hamilton). Family burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton General Hospital Heart Unit would be greatly appreciated by the family.
