Black Watch Friends:

Regret to announce yet another death in the Black Watch family.

Abby spent most of his Black Watch years with 2nd Battalion in Gagetown and Germany.

It is with great sadness that the family of George "Abby" Muise announce his death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 12th, 2011 at the age of 83. Born in Yarmouth, NS on July 10th, 1927 he was the husband of Therese (Hache) Muise of Fredericton.

In addition to his wife, Therese, and her family, Abby leaves behind his son, Mike (Jackie) of Oromocto; brother, Theodore "Teddy" Muise of Nova Scotia; grandchildren, Laurie (Heidi) Muise, Jennifer Muise, Coady Muise, Sarah Scott, Brandice Muise and Katie Muise; and ten great grandchildren. Abby was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Cecilia Muise; son, David Muise; and daughter, Alice Muise.

Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., on Thursday, April 14th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Friday, April 15th at 11 am with Fr. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Abby's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Sorry to hear that "Abby" passed away,he was one of the older soldiers in 1954 at Aldershot NS in 17 Squad with all us young soldiers.
