Black Watch Friends:

Have learned that CA Francis passed away on 9 April in Cape Breton.

CA enlisted in the North Nova Scotia Highlanders and went to Germany as part of the 1st Canadian Highland Battalion. He was a well respected boxer in 1st Battalion RHC.

Have not been able to locate an obituary announcing his death. Foregoing information provided by Ken Mitchell and Wish Frampton.

Another sad chapter of the Francis family.

This book report is in today's Ottawa Citizen. Jeff was the grandson of the late Herb Francis, CA's brother.
