Lawrence Patrick Hubbard
1932-2011

The death of Lawrence Hubbard of Oromocto, NB occurred on June 7th, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born January 21st, 1932 in St. Alphonse, NS, he was the son of the late Simon and Mary (Mitchell) Hubbard and husband to Dorothy Hubbard.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Larry Hubbard (Sheila) of Cold Lake, AB; Karen McElwain (Terry) of Allen, Texas and David Hubbard (Joyce) of Gander, NL; step-daughter, Regina Zong (Gerry Wyman) of Saint John, NB; siblings, Anthony Hubbard (Theresa) of Halifax, NS; Madeleine Stewart of Oshawa, ON; Rena Cochrane (Jim) of Bridgetown, NS and Kay Gould of Berwick, NS. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Melbourne Hubbard.

Visitation will take place at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, June 9th, 2011 from 1-3 and 6-8 pm. Having been a Fourth Degree Sir Knight, the Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer hour and vigil at 1 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 10th, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, CFB Gagetown, with Fr. Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will take place in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation. (357-5100)
