Dale was laid to rest in Beechwood during the Poppy Campaign.
It was his wish to be laid to rest by his family members.
I for one will miss Dale and the talks that we had on a few items. For some that didn't know he was very passionate about his Regiment & promoted it every chance he had. I watched him around the older Veterans and how he treated them. What a Ambassador for the Black Watch as he would pick them up for appointments, coffee runs, and just to make sure that they were not forgotten in todays world were many of us don't seem to have the time for the older generation nor the compassion that Dale had. He used to hold a big Canada Day celebration at his place & one of the things that I had to do was make sure I wore my Kilt. We both wore it proudly on that day to help celebrate our great Nations birthday. When he laughed it would make you join in. People who looked at the jackets at the reunions & had asked about them to purchase it was Dale & another good friend of his who had them made up & I am afraid that it will likely be impossible to now have one done.
Dale was a shaker & mover who I will miss.
Rest In Peace Brother
