Regret to notify you that Ernie Muise passed away last week in Halifax.

Ernie served mostly in 1st Battalion, Transport Section.

May 19, 1937 - October 8, 2011

MUISE, Ernest "Ernie" John - 74 of Halifax formerly of Enfield passed away Sunday October 9th, 2011 at the New Halifax Infirmary with family members at his side. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Meade) Muise. Ernie was a member of the Black Watch and served in Cyprus after joining the army as a young man. After returning home he served as Bar Steward and eventually became a life member of RCL Br # 133 Montgomery in Enfield. As a member of the Corps of Commissioners he was employed at IMP aerospace for many years and after a time at Pratt& Whitney retired to his hobbies and sharing with his family. Ernie has resided for the last thirteen years in Halifax where he loved to dance with his partner Susan and partake with members at the Fairview Legion. He was a very loving, caring man who thought a lot of his family and children and grand children and step grandchildren. Survived by his long time partner Susan and former spouse Donna, daughters Vanessa, (Steven), Maria, Sons, Shane, Step son Jason (Connie), stepdaughter Cheryl (Bernie), Heather, Stepson Robert, grandchildren Alexander, Brittany, Emily, Hanna, Emma, Nathan, Malcolm, Peter, Gerry; Sisters Lorraine, Diane, Jeannie, Peggy and brothers Johnny and Peter. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers George and Donnie. A service of Mass will be held Friday at 11 am from St. Bernard's RC Church Enfield Fr. Andrew Rembarczyk officiating. A reception will be held at the RCL Br# 133 Enfield following the service. In Ernie's memory a donation may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association Kidney Foundation .
