Alex was a long term member of 1st Battalion RHC Pipes & Drums and re-badged to 2RCR Pipes & Drums in 1970.
I personally heard his fine piping just a few days ago at the Black Watch Association, New Brunswick Chapter’s Feast of St. Andrew on 26 November.
