Regret to notify you of the passing of Ray Lepine in Ottawa on 4 December. Ray served in Korea with 2nd Battalion and was a proud and active member of the Upper Canada Branch of our Black Watch Association until recently when declining health curtailed his activities.
Ray is identified in picture (2) on page 49 of our Regular Force history (Canada’s Black Watch: An Illustrated History of the Regular Force Battalions 1951 – 1970).
Note: Remembrance service on Friday 9 December.

Raymond B. Lépine
October 14, 1927 - December 4, 2011
Nous avons le regret de vous annoncer le décès de notre père Raymond Lépine, le 4 décembre 2011 à l'âge de 84 ans. Père bien aimé de Carmen-Louise, André, Suzanne (Paul Lyons), Ginette Nicole (Jean-Claude Adani) et Sylvie (Greg Franks). Laissant aussi ses petits-enfants, Elyse Lépine (Jason Boulanger), Myriame Lépine Lyons, Alexandre Adani, Érik, Virginie et Zachary Franks, ainsi que ses arrières petits-enfants Caleb et Matis Lépine-Boulanger. Prédécédé de sa compagne Mabel Langlois, de plus il laisse dans le deuil la mère de ses enfants, Thérèse Péladeau Lépine, sa soeur Paulette Lépine, ses frères Jean-Claude (Hélène Dugal), Robert (Claudette Godin) et ses défunts frères Gérald (feu Pauline Denault) et Richard (feu Carole Larocque). La famille tient à remercier, Louise Roy de les services communautaires de géronto-psychiatrie, Les Anciens Combattants et le personnel du 6e étage de l'Hôpital Montfort d'Ottawa.
Raymond Lépine passed away at the Montfort Hospital at the age of 84 on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Ray was a member of the Black Watch(Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada from 1953 to 1956 and was a proud Korean Veteran. He was a member and active supporter of the Vanier Legion, and a long time Sergeant at the House of Commons. Funeral visitations at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Rd. Ottawa, ON will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until the Memorial Service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Raymond, donations can be made to Korean Veterans Association at the following link:
