Regret to report the recent passing of Ernie LeBlanc in Amherst N.S.
Ernie served with 2nd Battalion in Gagetown and Cyprus.
Ernie attended his first Reunion in Aldershot this past September and was planning to attend next year’s Atlantic Branch AGM in Summerside.

(January 4, 1949 - December 12, 2011)
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we the family announce the unexpected passing of Larry “Ernie” LeBlanc, 62, of Amherst on Monday, December 12, 2011 at his home. Born in Amherst, Ernie was a son of the late Raymond and Euphemie (Landry) LeBlanc. Ernie served in the Canadian Armed Forces for ten years and was a member of the Black Watch Regiment and later worked for the Town of Amherst Recreation Department until his sudden passing. His interest included antique cars, gardening, Slow Pitch and traveling with his family and friends. Ernie’s biggest enjoyment was spending time with his little granddaughter, Ella. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Ernie will be lovingly remembered and always loved by his wife and best friend, Sharon (nee Downey) LeBlanc; son, Mike (Kendra) and daughter, Kim (Jeff) White both of Amherst; special granddaughter, Ella; as well as his brothers, Ralph (Marilyn), Riverview, NB and Richard (Gail), Amherst; sisters, Brenda (Bill) Hurlbert, and Joanne (Cliff) Rose, both of Amherst; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Lister. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8:00 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). Funeral service will take place on Friday at 3:00 p.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held in the Parish hall. Interment will follow in the Amherst Cemetery. Memorial donations in Ernie’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
