All former Black Watch cadets should mark their calendars for May 30, 2009 which is when the 55th Cadet Reunion will be held. The Annual Final Inspection will held as well. Watch the Cadet page and this forum for details as they become available.

This year, I have a whole month's Vacation. I am thinking to drive back for the Reunion from Coquitlam BC and time it so I can go to the BBQ as well.

Hey Gary - we'll be going too - if you need a place here in Ottawa you know you can always stay with us. That goes for anyone that comes in and needs a place.

I had a good look at the calander. Not enough time to do both if I drive so I might just fly out and rent a car for the out of the City trips, etc.

Jim, like last time and if they can get us a Military Rate again, you interested in doing the same as before?. Or we can ask Apple if he has extra space. But we already know we have a place in Ottawa, so that's taken care of. It's too bad there are no Armed Service Clubs in Montreal like there is in London England, I stayed at one called the Victory Services Club and it was very inexpensive as London goes. As a matter of fact, if anyone wants to visit London, you can use me membership number

Does anyone know of any events planned for the anniversary weekend other than the Final Inspection?

Mind made up now to drive, though I will only be able to take in the Reunion. My plan is to stay in Montreal for about 5 to 7 days. I would be going by way of the States, it's faster. I'm also thinking of camping out along the way for a few nights. I'm still looking for a place to stay in Montreal. So if anyone has some space, let me know.

When: 1900 hrs - 0100 hrs approx, Sat 30 May 09
Cost: $25 per person
Includes: Hot Schwartz's smoked meat platters, prepared right in front of you; dessert and coffee/tea; cash bar
Dress: Mess casual (no jeans, t-shirts or sneakers)
