GARDNER _ Moira Macrae (nee Cook) April 6, 1937 - November 22, 2008 Moira Gardner, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the age of 71 years. She was the dearly beloved wife for nearly fifty-one years to William (Bill) Gardner of Calgary, and cherished mother to son, Dave (Cindi); daughter Karen (Winston); son Paul, Maria Passmore; son Peter (Bibi); daughter Gail (Mark); son John (Lori); son Iain (April); daughter Tracey (Yan). Moira was a very loving grandmother - "Nana" - who cherished her twenty-three amazing grandchildren; William (Merret), Gillian (Zach), Breanna, Haylie, Amber, Kayley, Miles, Dougall, Quinn, Callum, Lianne, Sarah-Lynn (Jason), Andrew, Johnathan, Samuel, Maxwell, Jackson, Emma, Kathleen, Natalie, Keean, Tristan and Neve; as well as two sweet great-grandchildren, Jaylynn and Jacob. Moira was a loving sister to her brother John Jardine (Julia), sister-in-law to Helen Jardine and Sally Young and a special cousin to Joyce (Charles) Hunter, and dear aunt to several nephews and nieces. In addition, Moira was predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Mary and Joe Jardine, her father David Cook and brother Ronnie Jardine. Moira was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and The Royal Canadian Legion Kensington (No. 264). Moira also volunteered with The White Hatter's at the Calgary International Airport, where she took great pleasure in working with the other volunteers. Moira was a loyal, kind friend, whose greatest accomplishment was her loving, tightly knit family.

Her outlook and spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church (290 Edgepark Boulevard N.W.) on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
