BLAIN, Edward J. (Ed) 13 Years, 7 Months ago  
Edward J. (Ed) Blain, Langley BC December 30, 2010. Ed enrolled in Toronto in January 1943 and joined 1 RHC in France on July 20, 1944. Wounded in St Leonard on September 29, he rejoined the unit on January 5, 1945. He served in B Coy before leaving the unit at Verel, Germany as a volunteer for service in the Pacific Theatre. Ed returned to Canada and was released in August, 1945. He re-enrolled in 1951, serving in the RCOC until 1972. His postwar service included duties in UNEF I (Egypt), ONUC (Congo), and UNFICYP (Cyprus). Ed retired in 1972 in the rank of Sgt.
