Black Watch Friends:

Regret to report the passing of Peter Fairbridge on 1 Feb 2012 at the age of 80 years in Alberta.

Peter came to Canada from the UK after WWII and started working with the Railway at Trail BC.
He joined the Canadian Scottish Regt militia and, when 27th Brigade was formed in 1951, he went with 1st CHB to Germany.

He remained with the Highland Battalion when it became 1st Bn The Black Watch and returned with the unit to Canada/Aldershot NS.

He returned to Germany with 1RHC in1959, and stayed with the battalion when it relocated to CFB Gagetown in 1962.

Circa 1970 Peter was posted to the Canadian Airborne Regiment in Edmonton.

Have been unable to find obit but understand that a Funeral Service will be in Edmonton AB next Tuesday (7 Feb 2012) at 1100 AM.
