Well, my condolences are deep and sincere. He was a presences among men and a father figure for so many young boys that needed a mentor in life. To describe his manner , it was claim , he suffered no fools and was very pensive . All the qualities of a great leader.

You know, you just want to be judged fairly for what ever contributions and decisions you have made in life. Maj. Gibson in my mind was a great man and helped me to formulate my persona . From that, I passed on my foundation on to my sons, who are both in the Infantry and hopefully will be great leaders .

We are all linked because of caring men like Maj. Gibson.

God Bless

On behalf of myself personally and all the members of the Toronto Black Watch Association, our heart felt condolances go out to the Gibson Family.

Major Gibson was an inspiration to every Black Watch Cadet that he came in contact with and thier lives are richer today for the experience.

Sincerely,

Bill Carlisle
