In addition to being the 150th Anniversary of The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada, 2012 is also Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee year, celebrating 60 years as Queen of Canada.

In order to mark this momentous occasion, a commemorative medal has been struck and a number of Black Watch officers, soldiers and veterans have been selected as recipients.

BW (RHC) will conduct Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal (QDJM) presentation ceremony for all military recipients on 11 November 2012 at 1345hrs following the annual Remembrance Day in order to honour recipients in a dignified manner.

11,000 Canadian Forces members and nearly 400 civilian employees of the Defence Team will receive the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. Come support your Regimental brothers in arms as they receive theirs.
